When Tappan’s Jiffy Store opened in this building in 1917, it introduced a new concept to Atlanta – a self-service grocery store! The store also promised to save its customers money by not offering delivery or even having a telephone. Later tenants included a billiard suppliers, clothiers, butchers, sewing machine companies, and shoe stores.
